The ability to read is vital and it is best to start developing your child’s basic reading skills from young.
Workshop: Encouraging Your Child to Read
This seminar is aimed at parents and teachers and gives an overview of the difficulties that children have when approaching reading.
It also gives insights into strategies children can use to improve their reading as well as what parents and teachers can do with their child to enhance their reading experience and make it more enjoyable.

A note about the speaker
Speaker Mr Christopher Newcombe has been teaching at the British Council (Toa Payoh) for 3 years and has a wide range of experience teaching primary and secondary school children as well as English to adults.
In addition to his role with the British Council, he is also currently pursuing higher qualifications in the field of Education.
