Leaving A Voice Message

Print E-mail

Voicemail has been a tremendous help in managing missed calls.  But have you sometimes been irritated by the garbled messages left by your callers?

When you leave messages on voicemail, be as clear and concise as possible. Keep these pointers in mind:

  • Leave your name, company and a contact number.

  • State your contact number twice, slowly and clearly so that the receiver can note it down easily without having to replay your message a few times.

  • State the reason for your call.

  • If you will only be able to take return calls at a certain time, say so.
