Be Tactful and Give Options

Print E-mail

Do you ever feel like you are being forced into a decision?

We are always trying to get business from people. Getting that business means that you need to get the client to make a decision. But sometimes, by being too driven, you can drive the client away.

It is important to do it tactfully. Your choice or words and the tone of your interaction are important.

Instead of pushing for a decision directly, try giving options.

  • "We have two models that suit your needs."
  • "We have several ways that we can do this."
  • "We have three dates for you to choose from."

By giving options, the client is given more chances of saying "Yes!".

Regardless of how pressed for time you are, do not show impatience. The way you speak and your choice of words can make or break the deal.
