We often use the word Liaise when we work with others. For example, we may say, “Peter will liaise with Serene on the new Orchid Garden project in Sentosa.” But are we getting the 'li' right?

How do you read this word Liaise?

Does it sound like “Lee-AISE” or “Lie- AISE”? 

The stress is on AISE but how do you pronounce “Li”?

Does “Li” rhyme with "Lie" or “Lee”?

The answer: Li rhymes with Lee.
