| Description: | The Employability Skills System (ESS) is a foundational framework that underpins the industry and occupational skills training under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification System. ESS aims to equip the workforce with portable, generic skills that will better prepare them for new job demands, work challenges and the changing work environment. Such skills can be applied across industries and occupations. ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy credentials can be used as an alternative criterion to the current academic qualifications such as GCE 'N' or 'O' levels for recruitment or admission purposes. Successful participants that are deemed to have the broad range of transferable generic employability skills will receive a Career Readiness Certificate |
