Partnership Opportunities
The Speak Good English Movement is always on the lookout for new and exciting programmes to help Singaporeans speak well. We have many partner organisations that help develop and organise free programmes/events to help people of various ages and needs improve their English.
Please contact us and let us know how we can partner you.
Women Learning English (WISH) Programme
Partner: Society for Reading & Literacy (SRL)
The Module I classes for the WISH (Women Learning English) programme kicked off in July 2003 with a record enrolment of 180 students in 6 classes.
Supported by the Speak Good English Movement (SGEM), WISH is a 6-month basic English course for women beginner learners spearheaded by SRL. The programme aims to help women learn basic functional English for day-to-day communication.
Classes are conducted for free at community libraries and community centres (CCs) by trained voluntary women tutors. Staff members at the libraries and CCs help the volunteer tutors on site with membership exercises, library tours and library resources for the classes.
