Workshop 2: Learning English Online

The Internet is teeming with websites full of information, free resources and fun learning games. But how do you know which are the most suitable and useful for your child?

At this workshop, Matthew Winchester will share the benefits of online learning, as well as parent-child play. He’ll also show you how to get started by presenting a list of all the good websites you and your child can use to learn English online.

He’ll also touch on the subject of computer games.

The target audiences for this workshop are teachers and parents of kindergarten and primary school children. Students and anyone who is interested in improving their English are also welcome to sign up.

A note about the speaker

Matthew Winchester is the Marsiling branch coordinator at British Council. He studied psychology at the University of Plymouth and specialised in non-verbal communication and children with learning and behavioural difficulties.

Before joining the British Council Singapore, Matthew taught 2 to 82 year olds at the Shane English Schools in Japan, where he was the Assistant Director for the Kita Kanto district.
