The Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) has partnered with the Speak Good English Movement and National Library Board to make it possible for members of the public to assess their language proficiency at no cost in selected libraries.
To ascertain their language proficiency, Singaporeans and Permanent Residents can take the Workplace Literacy Computer Adaptive Test (WPL-CAT) test for free at four public library branches at Ang Mo Kio, Tampines, Jurong, and Bukit Merah from 27 August to 19 September. After taking WPL-CAT, individuals who want to improve their English further can sign up at the same libraries for WPL training at a fee of $50 or $910. Training will be at WDA’s training provider venues.
Details
All participants are to bring along their NRIC.
There will be 5 WPL-CAT test stations available at each of the 4 National Library Board public library branches during selected dates for members of the public to take the WPL-CAT test. The test will take 1-3 hours to complete.
