Partner Programmes 2007/08
Over 48 weeks from August 07 – June 08, the Speak Good English Movement (SGEM) reached out to 9,500 young Singaporeans with its weekly Rock Your World (RYW) programmes at Timbre – showcasing good English expressed creatively through music, oratorical performances, film, drama, stand up comedy and poetry.

Over the course of the series, RYW successfully created a brand among young people that is associated with both promoting good English and supporting local artists. These artists embraced the movement and in turn acted as champions of the movement, carrying the speak good English message to a very hard-to-reach group – youth.
RYW’s reach extended to thousands more Singaporeans through social networking platforms such as:
- Rock Your World @ MySpace – Musicians, performers and fans reached through MySpace (193 friends)
- Rock Your World @ Youtube – Performers and fans watch and share RYW videos. Over 68,000 total views of 116 videos to date
- Rock Your World @ Facebook – 380 members of Rock Your World Facebook group kept up to date with RYW events and activities
